Meet Jeff Miller
Jeff has a wealth of senior experience in the commercial, government and not-for-profit sectors as a CEO and senior executive in the areas of marketing, communications, advocacy and fundraising. Jeff is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has also served on the boards of a number of non-profit organisations. He is an accredited executive coach through Halftime and LCP Global.
Jeff graduated from the University of Western Australia in the late 1980s with a Bachelor of Commerce and qualified as a Certified Practising Accountant in 1991. He first worked as an accountant at Arthur Andersen and then Alcoa Australia.
In the mid 1990s Jeff formed a successful Sydney-based marketing and communications consultancy, working with clients including National Australia Day Council, Macquarie Bank and the Australian Hockey Association.
In 2002, Jeff went on to establish Melbourne’s family-friendly radio station, 89.9 Light FM, serving as its inaugural CEO and growing it from a start-up to a profitable enterprise employing 25 people. From 2006 to 2008, after relocating back to Perth, he worked with Alpha – a global not for profit – with marketing, communications and fundraising responsibilities for the Asia Pacific region.
From November 2008 to August 2018, Jeff served as the Chief Executive Officer of Civil Contractors Federation in Western Australia, the peak industry body for infrastructure construction and the state’s largest provider of civil construction training.
Jeff is married to Miranda and has two children, Alby and Issy. He is passionate that we find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes and in the meantime, provide support for those affected by it — like his gorgeous 12-year old daughter Issy.
